Phillip Lanahan drove to Vegas in his 1985 Prosche 911 Carreras Cabriolet, a snappy little red car his parents had given him two months before, when he graduated from Princeton.
Friday 56 hosted @ Freda's Voice is a weekly Meme where we share an interesting snippet from page 56 of any book. This is also V is for Vengeance by Sue Grafton.
Mentally, I squinted, trying to judge the truth value of his claim. I knew he believed it, but was there foundation in fact?
Sounds like a good mystery.
ReplyDeleteI love all of Sue Grafton's books and recently read this one. Love the character Lindsay Millhone!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Here's MY FRIDAY MEMES POST -

Hi Srivalli,
ReplyDeleteI have only read a couple of books from this series, but I do know a few people who are right up to date with the whole alphabet and are real fans.
I love this uncomplicated mystery writing style, which leaves you feeling satisfied when you have read it, but not feeling too taxed or drained by a comlex plot.
Thanks for reminding me about the series, I guess that's another 20 or so books to add to my reading list then! LOL
Have a great weekend,
Yvonne
I've read a few of Sue Graftons mystery books, but haven't got as far as V. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteintriguing! and "squinting mentally" - quite an interesting way to put it!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine
I've never read any of those alphabet books, although I see them all the time. Maybe I should try one . . .
ReplyDeleteI haven't read that series in awhile. This one sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like this opening and page 56 made me think (i.e. anything to do with the concept of 'truth' is interesting). Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was something called the Friday 56!!! I'll have to join this week :)
