This week I am posting from Markus Zusak's The Book Thief.
Friday Book Beginnings is a weekly Meme hosted at A Few More Pages..
Prologue
Death and Chocolate
First the colours.
Then the humans.
That's usually how I see things.
Or at least, how I try.
Begining
Beside the Railway Line
First up is something white. Of the blinding kind.
Friday 56 hosted @ Freda's Voice is a weekly Meme where we share an interesting snippet from page 56 of any book.
'I can't even see the finish line,' Liesel complained.

I've been wanting to read this one! Great snippets.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY FRIDAY MEMES POST
Short but sweet, and left me extremely curious!
ReplyDeleteI am curious about this book too. I have been hearing about it at lot... Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of The Book Thief, I think. The opening sounds intriguing. Is it like The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time?
ReplyDeleteIt's about a young girl, a book thief, in Hitler's Germany narrated by Death. Quite different from The curious incident!
DeleteThe Book Thief is one of my favourite books! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog about books :)
ReplyDeleteAs an avid Sherlockian, I too like the BBC Sherlock series, despite some considerable deviations from the canon.
Have you tried the Russian adaptation with Vasily Livanov as Sherlock Holmes.
Cheers!
